“The List” – Version 2009

This is the third year I have decided to do away with New Year’s Resolutions and make a manageable list of things to accomplish in the year ahead. You can find my list for 2007 here, and my list for 2008 here.

The list for 2009 is going to be a bit longer than previous years, and here’s hoping I can get as much done as I can! I’m planning a full on year!

Check back to see what I’ve done, and see if I’ve added anything else!

Here we go…

# Get fit! Exercise at least 5 days a week.
(May ‘09 – I’m not doing too bad with this! Gym 3 days a week plus walking.)

# Take lunch to work at least 4 days a week.

# Do the Story Bridge Adventure Climb.

# Make and give out handmade cards and gifts for every occasion.

# Do a course and become a nail technician. Course found, enrolment being processed! Start date March 2010.

# Rejoin the local library and start reading!

# Learn to cook – properly. Moving out of home has done wonders!

# Take a holiday. Holiday was booked but we had to cancel when we found out Matt’s mum was terminal.

# Finish scrapbooking last year’s mini-break.

# Change my hair colour at least twice and document it.
May 15 – I’ve changed my hair colour twice now, and I’m not done yet!
Proof:
December ‘08 – blonde
January ‘09 – blonde to brunette

March ‘09 – brunette with copper
April ‘09- brunette with pink
May ‘09- brunette to redhead

# Move out of home. Done June ‘09.

# Start planning my wedding. Postponed again. Not worried.

# Go to the optometrist and get new glasses. Done May ‘09.

# Wear my glasses. Working on this!

# Go to the dentist for a checkup.

# Get the following done to my car: tinted windows, keyless entry and new CD player.

# Get a professional massage.

# Go fishing – just once.

# Get another piercing.

  1. If looking for variety of genre, I would recommend “The Time Traveler’s Wife,” “Cryptonomicon,” “The Curse of Chalion,” and “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.”

  2. As someone who managed to stop cracking their neck, (and then started again), I can say that it makes a HUGE difference! For the two or so months that I didn’t crack anything, I felt so comfortable!
